The project intends to raise and inculcate in our children the importance of their social responsibilities and duties in a practical manner from their young age. Through the programme our children in association with the P.T.A help other less privileged institutions to upgrade their facilities and infrastructure. In the long run, these small steps would certainly go a long way in bridging the differences in their environments and in our society. And our children grow up to become responsible citizens.

The programme envisages an outlay of Rs.10 lakhs every year. While Rs.5 lakhs is contributed by a Trust, the school needs to match the same by raising equal amount from students under the slogan ‘one rupee per day’. Each child is expected to share one rupee every day from their pocket money towards this cause. The contribution will be collected on a monthly basis.
The programme is to be coordinated and implemented by the P.T.A and Students of Rajagiri Public School & Kindergarten with the guidance of school management.

We proudly handed over the cheque to Dr.Jacob Abraham  [Trustee Member of Heart Care Foundation].  As  students of an institution that takes its social responsibilities seriously, we Rajagirians saw it as our duty to help at least a few of our less privileged brothers and sisters who suffered from this deadly disease. And so it was decided that our first contribution of  Rs. 1,50,000/-  (collected for the months of April, May & June) would be used to support heart surgeries for 6 of our less fortunate friends who were in need.
