Laharein Overall Championship
LAHAREIN – 2011
Rajagiri Public School earned its second overall champions trophy this academic year, when we lifted the LAHAREIN – 2011 trophy ,a second consecutive year on the 20th August 2011.
‘Laharein’ is the Inter-School cultural competition conducted by the Gregorian Public school. The students of std.XI put up a sparkling performance to the beautiful ‘Laharein 2011’ trophy.
The music group event saw our students put up a very professional performance as they performed an exquisite composition created by our very own music maestro Mr. Joseph John Peter. Our music group was undoubtedly the No.1 team in an event where 21 schools participated.
Job Michael Mathew gave a sterling performance as he impersonated Mr. Shashi Tharoor and took on the incisive attack of the press as Mr.Shashi Tharoor. Job Michael Mathew won second place for the event ‘Hot Seat’.
‘Chisel the wild’ was the art event where the contestants were required to chisel thermocol to create a landscape and paint it- all in three hours. Maria Gracious and Nikitha Shaji won the third place for this competition.
Rajagirians put up an exemplary performance. Even the group dance and the glass painting competition called ‘Glazy strokes’ also contributed to the overall tally of the school.
Kudos to all the students and teachers for their relentless effort which earned Rajagiri Public school the overall Champions trophy of Laharein.
