Roller Hockey Overall Championship
ERNAKULAM DISTRICT ROLLER HOCKY CHAMPIONSHIP 2011
The ERNAKULAM DISTRICT ROLLER HOCKY CHAMPIONSHIP 2011 was hosted by Rajagiri Public School and was held on 4th and 5th December. The Championship was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Jijo Kadavan CMI, Director, Rajagiri Public School. Rev. Fr. praised the players for their hard toil. He congratulated the parents for the genuine interest shown by them for the game. He also added that Roller Hockey players are intelligent as the game requires effective multitasking. Mr. Sunny Varghese FCA welcomed the gathering and highlighted a few of the difficulties faced by the players due to lack of infrastructure. He added that regular practice of Roller Skating increases the confidence level of students. Adv. Thomas M Jacob President, District Roller skating Association proposed the vote of thanks. He expressed his appreciation of the PTA and the School Management for the well conducted championship.
The host school won the Overall Championship trophy. Rajagiri Public School was declared winners in all the three categories, sub juniors, juniors and senior categories respectively. Jevass Public School and Rajagiri Christu Jayanthi public school were the first and second runners up respectively. Sixteen Schools participated in the tournament.
